FANTASTIC CHICLAYO - 03 Days/02 Nights
DAY 01: CHICLAYO - CITY TOUR + MERCADO BRUJO (SHAMANS’ MARKET)

In the afternoon there will be a guided city tour. You will see the Main Square, the Santa Maria Cathedral, the Municipality with its large wrought iron windows and wide gates, the Basilica of St. Anthony, the Church of St. Veronica, the Muses’ Promenade, Republican mansions, squares and the city’s main streets.
We will then visit the market of Chiclayo and the area known as the Shamans’ Market where you will find various potions, herbs and other elements used by shamans for their activities.
This market is very attractive because it offers a variety of herbs and objects used in traditional medicine or "healing", a deeply rooted and widespread activity in the area.
Return to the hotel.
DAY 02: HUACA RAJADA + TUCUME + ROYAL TOMBS

In the morning we will travel to the archaeological site of Huaca Rajada, 35 km east of Chiclayo and 2 km from the village of Sipan where you will see the pyramid, terrace and Museum holding the remains of Moche royal people and elite priests (200-700 AD). The intact tomb of an elite personality was found here. Because of the magnificence of the ornaments and the high degree of technological and cultural development it is considered the most important archaeological discovery of the century. We will visit its Site Museum and the archaeological digs.
Next we will visit Tucume, an extensive archaeological complex at the foot of Mount Purgatory or La Raya, where 25 pyramids have been found. On this visit we will see Huaca Las Estacas, the Viewpoint and Huaca Larga, among others, as well as the Site Museum. Following that we will proceed to visit the new and modern Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, with 10 showrooms where you will be able to see the remains of the Moche elite that ruled 1,700 years ago marking a milestone in the country's history. The museum holds a large collection of gold, silver and copper objects.
Return to the hotel.
DAY 03: BEACH TOUR + MONSEFU

In the morning we will visit the seaside resort of Pimentel, the main one in the region, where traditional sports competitions are held including surfing, beach volleyball, “caballito de totora” (reed boats) races and twine fishing. There are turn of the century and contemporary buildings with a wide promenade and an old peer. In the Santa Rosa bay, made picturesque by the use of “caballitos de totora”, you will see the Sanctuary of Our Lord of Miracles. We will go next to the village of Monsefu, famous for its woven straw and cotton articles, where you will see a large number of artisans and also a Crafts Market.
You will be transferred for the return to Lima at the appropriate time.
